How MIQ handles information
This policy explains how MasterlineIQ processes information when authorized organizations and users operate the Service.
Effective July 29, 20261. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to MasterlineIQ (“MIQ,” the “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). MIQ is a private business operations platform. An organization that provides your access may separately determine how its business records are collected and used. In that setting, contact your organization’s administrator for requests concerning organization-controlled data.
2. Information MIQ processes
Depending on the features your organization enables, MIQ processes:
- Account data: name, email address, identity provider identifiers, role, access status, and session information.
- Operations data: customers, contacts, addresses, work orders, assignments, notes, statuses, products and services, estimates, invoices, and related records.
- Service activity: service-professional check-in and check-out times and, when permission is granted, device-provided location.
- Communications: shared-mailbox messages, threads, participants, attachments or message content, labels, assignments, comments, and status information.
- Connected accounting data: QuickBooks Online customers, vendors, employees, accounts, classes, departments, items, transactions, estimates, invoices, payments, bills, time activities, tax records, and other supported accounting records.
- Technical and security data: audit events, integration status, error information, device or browser information, and actions taken in the Service.
- Product usage data: allowlisted feature views, workflow milestones, integration events, automation outcomes, and support activity. MIQ excludes message bodies, prompts, work-order notes, customer names, and raw record identifiers from product analytics.
- Community participation: product-change submissions and votes; community automation listings and adoptions; automation-completion points; and leaderboard rank. Signed-in users can see leaderboard display names, roles, ranks, and point totals. Contact information and private activity details are not included in the leaderboard.
3. Sources of information
Information comes from users and administrators; devices used to access MIQ; your organization’s systems; and connected services such as Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, identity providers, and Discord. MIQ requests access to a connected service only when an authorized administrator starts or configures that connection.
4. How information is used
MIQ uses information to:
- authenticate users and enforce role-based access;
- provide scheduling, service delivery, Inbox, accounting, reporting, and collaboration features;
- synchronize records with services selected by your organization;
- maintain audit trails, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the Service;
- support users and improve performance and usability; and
- rank requested product improvements, operate the community Automation Exchange, recognize successful automation use, and display the signed-in-user points leaderboard; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
MIQ does not sell personal information and does not use connected Google or QuickBooks data for advertising.
Cross-workspace product analysis is aggregated or de-identified. MIQ will not identify a customer in a case study, testimonial, or promotional asset unless that customer has explicitly approved the proposed use. Administrators can decline or revoke case-study permission.
5. Google user data
When an administrator connects Google Workspace, MIQ may access the connected mailbox and basic account identity to provide the shared inbox, including reading, organizing, assigning, labeling, sending, and replying to email as directed by authorized users. MIQ’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. QuickBooks data
When an administrator connects QuickBooks Online, MIQ may import supported company and accounting records and may create estimates or invoices when an authorized user requests it. Authentication tokens are used to maintain the connection and are stored in encrypted form. Disconnecting QuickBooks stops future access; your organization may separately request deletion of previously imported records.
7. How information is shared
Information may be shared only as needed with:
- authorized users and administrators of the organization operating the workspace;
- connected services when a user or administrator initiates or configures an action;
- infrastructure, authentication, security, and support providers that help operate MIQ under appropriate obligations; and
- authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect users, the Service, or legal rights.
8. Retention and deletion
MIQ retains information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet the connected organization’s operational and recordkeeping needs, maintain security and audit records, and comply with law. Retention may differ by record type and connected service. An authorized administrator may request disconnection, export, or deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
9. Security
MIQ uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including role-based access, authenticated sessions, encrypted storage for integration tokens, and audit logging. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their accounts and notify an administrator promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
10. Your choices and requests
Users may disconnect supported integrations where permitted, decline device location permission, and ask an administrator to review or correct account and business records. For access, correction, deletion, or export requests, contact your organization’s administrator or use the contact below. Some information may remain where retention is required or permitted by law.
11. Children
MIQ is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as MIQ changes. The effective date above identifies the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to tim@masterlinefm.com.
